2020-2021 Assessments


BVSA Assessment statements for 2020-2021 were mailed out to the address of the property owner on file on June 1st. These annual assessments pay for the many amenities we enjoy in Bear Valley Springs, as well as the management of those amenities and the ECC staff to administer the architectural review process as outlined in the C&R’s. These amenities include: Mulligan Room, The Oaks Restaurant, Oak Branch Saloon, golf course & pro shop, Whiting Center, baseball/soccer fields, 2 lakes, 3 playgrounds, Equestrian Center, riding & hiking trails, pool, dog park, campgrounds, shooting range, Kawaiisu Preserve, model airplane field, nature path, & tennis/pickleball courts, as well as coordination of sports leagues, youth camps & events. 


As stated in the June Bear Tracks, the Board of Directors has voted to approve a 90 day extension on the BVSA Assessments of $1,620 to help those members who may be experiencing a financial shortfall at this time. Late fees will not be charged unless assessments are not paid in full by October 31, 2020. The Assessments increased $20 from the 2019-2020 year and the full financial statement disclosure with the 2020-2021 budget and assessment summary has been mailed to each property owner.


Although some amenities were closed during the shutdown, most operating expenses continued including accounting/payroll; ECC staff; maintenance for all amenities including the golf course, lakes, parks, equestrian center, shooting range and nature path. Additionally, many regular revenue streams that offset the assessment subsidies especially in the areas of food & beverage, golf, & recreation departments were unavailable during the shutdown.
